Road hazard damage occurs when a tire fails as a result of a puncture, bruise, or impact break incurred during normal driving on a road maintained by state or local authority. Nails, glass, and potholes are the most common examples of road hazards.
The following are NOT considered road hazards under this Plan:
- Sidewall damage from curb scuffing
- Off-road use
- Damage resulting from improper inflation, overloading, brake lock-up, or wheel spinning
- Damage caused by defective wheels or vehicle conditions
• Maintaining proper cold inflation pressure as specified by your vehicle manufacturer
• Periodically inspecting tires for damage that could cause premature failure
Tire Replacement
If a covered tire is damaged beyond safe repair during the coverage period, it will be replaced. Replacement priority is:
- Same make/model tire — the replacement tire qualifies for a new VIP Road Hazard Protection Plan.
- Comparable quality tire — this Plan covers up to 100% of the original retail price paid (as shown on the original invoice). This VIP Road Hazard Protection Plan does not transfer to the replacement tire.
- You are responsible for applicable taxes, mounting, balancing, and other fees.
Tire Repair
If a covered tire can be safely repaired per manufacturer guidelines, this Plan will cover up to $25.00 for the repair at any authorized Venom Power Tire dealer.
No Deductible
This Plan has no deductible.
All claims must be submitted within sixty (60) days of the damage or service date. Follow these steps:
- Return to your original place of purchase, if possible.
- Call your Program Administrator (see Program Administrator contact information) to obtain prior authorization before any repair or replacement.
- Have your dealer contact the Program Administrator at the start of service. The Program Administrator will pay the dealer directly whenever possible.
-
If you paid out of pocket, submit the following for reimbursement through your Program Administrator’s claims portal or by email (see Program Administrator contact information):
- Original purchase invoice showing the tire(s)
- Subsequent invoice showing the repair or replacement
- Photos and tread depth measurements of the damaged tire(s)
- Make the damaged tire available for inspection by the Program Administrator if requested.
Emergency Claims: If damage occurs outside of business hours and you are unable to reach the Program Administrator, you may proceed with repair or replacement to ensure your safety. You must contact the Program Administrator on the next business day and submit all required documentation within 60 days of the service date. Emergency reimbursement claims are subject to review and approval.
The VIP Road Hazard Protection Plan is a supplement to, and does not replace, the Venom Power limited warranty that accompanied the tires at time of purchase.
This Plan does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
- Off-road use
- Collision, fire, vandalism, or theft
- Snow chains
- Manufacturer defects (covered separately under Venom Power’s Limited Warranty)
- Improper inflation, overloading, brake lock-up, wheel spinning, or torque snags
- Misalignment, mechanical failure, or interference with vehicle components
- Repairs not performed per manufacturer guidelines
- Cosmetic damage or appearance issues that do not affect safety or performance
- Torn beads
This Plan does not apply to:
- Tires not installed on the original, non-commercial vehicle listed on the invoice
- Tires operated outside the United States or Canada
- Vehicles with a manufacturer’s rated load capacity exceeding one (1) ton
- Vehicles used for farm, agricultural, or commercial purposes
CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARE EXCLUDED.
Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranty duration or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. The above limitations may not apply to you. This Plan gives you specific legal rights; you may have additional rights that vary by state.
For state-specific rights and full terms, visit your Program Administrator’s claims website listed in the Program Administrator section.

To opt out of this Plan, contact your Program Administrator by phone or email using the contact information in the Program Administrator section. Cancellation is effective upon confirmation from the Program Administrator.
